I have just discovered a great test page for your monitor setup.

Just a couple of pointers - on all our calibrated monitors you really have to look hard for the text on the darkest box - so I would suggest if you see it clearly your monitor is too bright - and also as you are looking with your web browser, many of the older browsers do not look at profiles - there is a bit on the page to show this. If you click on the link at the top of the page you’ll get another page with instructions....

On checking - apple’s SAFARI browser for both the Mac and PC support embedded profiles - so you might want to download that too....
