Talk Talk issues

One of our customers has, all of a sudden, had issues with getting ROES to start.

After spending ages he’s discovered the issue - with his ISP - Talk Talk.

Apparently they have changed ALL the IP addresses to a "Low range" set beginning with "2.255.xxx.xxx" etc.
This has caused MAJOR problems for thousands of customers. I have spoken to several people at TalkTalk who all denied any fault with TalkTalk except a guy called Andy who I have just spoken to. He confirmed almost instantly that TalkTalk had a major issue with customers accessing various websites (75 sites and counting) and apologised most sincerely. More than what the previous 2 monkeys did !! One even told me to go to PC World !!

Anyway, for all of you guys out there using TalkTalk as your ISP, BEWARE, because you may soon not have access to lots of websites.....WWW.SOFTWORKSROES.COM included !!

Apparently there is a short term fix but it is not guaranteed and that is to use a proxy server, or in TalkTalk's case a poxy server.

If you’re with Talk Talk it sound like you’ll have issues with all labs using ROES.

Looks like you might have to change your ISP - we use Zen - who have been excellent - and they have a written promise that they won’t do any “traffic shaping” - which is what Talk Talk have done.
