We’ve had a lab for ages - and since 2000 have run an all digital lab - and our prints can often be seen on stands at Focus, PMA and Photokina. At the last MPA Scotland print comp we printed the winners of almost half the categories
Special Award Print Prices
For your print awards you can get 10”x8” lustre prints for 52p (including VAT) for uncorrected prints - our normal price for MPA members - but prints on Pearl paper which is astounding (a very high gloss with a metalic sheen - and extended colour gamut particulary in the red and blue areas).
To select these special prices select the MPA-Awards catalogue - its at the bottom left.
The MPA catalogue only has 10”x8” prints - lustre and Pearl. At the bottom left you get some options - the key one to use is the choice of image tone. If you have B&W images select the B&W - neutral - it removes the tiny green tinge that you sometimes see on mono prints on colour paper. You can also apply a warm or cool tone to your B&W. You can also add borders of different widths and colours - and you can add keylines too.
You’ll have to put your contact details - and it will ask you for an account number - for your first use MPA-Test-01234567890 (replace with your phone number incase we have to contact you!) PLEASE take a note of this and use - we’ll then send you the promo code to give you 20% off all our normal print prices

You must put this in as
1- you’ll not be able to send anything without something in the account number box
2- we might charge you too much!
Please contact us once you’ve made your order so we can look out for it, and ensure we don’t bill you! (one time offer per person)
We’ll confirm you are a current member - and we’ll give you a discount code to give you 20% off everything on all future orders! (Yes - even off these already low prices!).
With either offer you can upload with ROES - just like the major labs - if you’ve not used it before the two things to remember:-
1 - you must have text or numbers in every field in your details
2 - the files take some time to upload after you’ve hit SEND - select QUEUE to monitor it’s progress....

Thanks for the tip off - great prints and one day turnaround. Also Beverley at Sam's rang to say that had printed two different versions as the prints were dark and suggested my screen calibrated too light. “Girl with a camera”
I always used loxley's for my prints, I have now been converted to Sam's the quality is excellent, and the price even better! James
Sams, no better. “Xpose”
David prints all our album pages and the quality and service is great (the prices are brilliant!) Bev
| Have to say I've just
recently started using Sams too and am very pleased with the prints
and service to also wanted to say a big thank you to David at Sams
photo lab. |
i used sams for the first time last week, there quality prints, id even go as far to say they were better than loxley and colourworld
Customer service is so important to me. Why is it that samsphotolab always deliver. But others, who will remain nameless are rubbish Cai
Sam (Dave) is the man! Just changed to using them, excellent service, very helpful, excellent price. Gollum
Sams is simply great for anything up to 11”x14” (I’ve never got bigger from him) Colin
we put a customers album together with Dave's prints it looked fantastic. Excellent Quality the images just jumped of the page at you.Landlord
I've just had all of the 11x14s for my book done at Sam's. Best quality prints I've ever seen. Lindsay
Yup Im another convert to Sams photolabs, great quality prints without a doubt! Matthew
I received my first order from Sams today, fantastic quality, better than DSCL and Loxley and they'll now be my preferred supplier.
Sam's Photolab, reasonable priced and the best print quality I've come across yet. Dman
I got the same image printed from Sams and from Colourworld. From colourworld the grass in the shot was greener and less yellow, looked a lot better, but sams seemed sharper - almost like comparing an image from a prime to a cheaper zoom!!
I can speak highly for Sams, thought print quality was better than Colourworld and fast helpful service too. cambsno
I used Photobox for ages, I now have a new supplier sams photolab!! cheap, easy interface and the quality is way better than Photobox imho SK617
Sams photo lab or Loxley for quality. JustinParker
I have used his lab for a few print orders so far, and I can say that I am very pleased with the results. Customer service is top notch and the prices are an absolute bargain - SWPP members get a significant discount. Great stuff. Stuart Walker
Mind you, after using Sams I would never use Loxley again for prints. Quality is at least as good, customer service is infinately better and prices are a fraction of Loxley’s. “OsirisPhoto”
I'm also with Sam's Photo Lab now. I used Loxleys for a while but I found their black and white prints too dark and not as per my monitor. I then moved to Proam and whilst they were ok and significantly cheaper, there was inconsistency with the results. Since moving to Sam's Photo Lab and I've been really pleased with my prints. They are also quite a bit cheaper than Loxleys (which is a bonus) and they do a gorgeous pearl glossy finish which works great on some images and is definitely worth a look. Alison
I can hi five for samsphotolab... it’s super quick and great quality. Plus member get a discount!! Woop whoop!! Beth
Received my prints this morning and I must say that the price/quality ratio is excellent. I'll gladly use service again. Brian
Another vote for Snapping Sams - friendly, helpful and understanding of photographer's needs - cos he is a photographer!!! Price and quality wonderful. Hayley
I ordered a set of 8 12"x18" prints from www.samsphotolab.com yesterday morning after downloading their ROES interface primarily to test the calibration of my monitor. I went for the budget service, which meant I had to resize my prints to 300dpi (3600 pixels along the shortest side from Lightroom) and there is no colour correction applied. Prints arrived in the post this morning, less than 24 hours after uploading. Prints arrived very well packaged, sealed in polythene and inside a cardboard box so the prints are flat, instead of rolled in tubes which makes it much easier for mounting into frames. I am very impressed with the quality of the prints. The colour reproduction and detail in the prints are amongst the best I've seen. At only £1.49 for a 12"x18" print, the prices are about the lowest I've seen anywhere for this sort of quality. Overall, highly recommended and they'll definitely be getting more orders from me in the future. John
I’ve seen the adverts about DS Colour, Loxley, Sams and others
I have used all the above and received good service and “usually” good prints.
I will continue to use SamsPhotoLab in 2010 for the majority of my printing because I like their prints best. The fact they are quick and prices are good too, it’s a bonus Chris
